Slack Integration

Once you are done with setting up your Git provider and issue tracker, the next step is to set up your communication channel. To set Slack with your typo dashboard, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Setup Slack

To set up Slack, click on the “Connect Slack” button

Step 2: Permission

In the very next step, you have to give access to your Slack workspace.

And done! You will now be landed on your dashboard and your first level of insights will be published in 5 mins. You can further customize your insights & notifications from the dashboard settings section.

If you have not set your notification channel during the onboarding process & would like to set it up afterward, you can follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Navigate to settings

Typo dashboard > Settings > Integrations > Click on Slack

Step 2: Permission

In the next step, you have to give access to your Slack workspace.

And you are done! You will start getting all your alerts & notifications on Slack.

Slack Home - Typo

Once you permit your Slack workspace, you can go to the typo app home & perform the following actions:

View your organization’s update for the following:

  • Cycle time

  • Deployment frequency

  • Blocked PRs count

  • Merged without review of PR count

  • Developers flagged in the burnout count

Along with these, you can see your PR summaries:

  • Awaiting Review

  • Your Pending PRs

Below these counts, you can see the details of these PRs under each section.

You can further take actions like commenting and approving.
